Vera Klug completed her studies at the Vienna Academy of Music and at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, where she has since been living as a freelance musician and flute teacher.
The focal points of her musical activity are chamber music and contemporary music, here in particular her membership, begun in 1991, of the œnm . œsterreichisches ensemble fuer neue musik.
Her passion for musical and friendly encounters with Asian and Arab cultures has resulted, among other things, in repeated invitations to events of the WØD association (www.ooo-ddd.at).
Numerous premieres have taken her to the Salzburg and Bregenz Festivals, the Salzburg Dialogues, the Kunstfest Weimar, the Eclat Festival Stuttgart, Ultraschall Berlin, wien modern or the Warsaw Autumn, but also on concert tours to Egypt, Mexico, Indonesia, Japan, Russia and the Baltic States.
