Karin Küstner

Karin Küstner was born in Heilbronn (Germany) in 1980. She studied accordion with Gudrun Wall at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin and with Janne Rättyä at the KUG in Graz.

She has given chamber music and solo concerts in many European countries and has performed at Bayan en Morbihan, Loch Shiel Spring Festival and the Salzburg Festival, among others. Her great interest in contemporary music as well as her creative collaboration with composers led to several world premieres and her membership in the œnm . œsterreichisches ensemble fuer neue musik.

Karin Küstner has been working as a music teacher in Upper Austria since 2007. In 2004 her debut CD was released in the Harmonia Mundi series “Les nouveaux musiciens”, which was awarded the CD prize “Diapason découverte” in 2005.
