Sebestyén Ludmány

The cellist Sebestyén Ludmány was born in Debrecen/Hungary and began his musical education at the age of five. He later studied at the Szeged Academy of Music, at the University Mozarteum Salzburg and at the Saarbrücken Academy of Music in the chamber music concert subject class with Katalin Sin, Wilfried Tachezi and Prof. Tatevik Mokatsian. He also studied chamber music with Márta Gulyás, Rainer Schmidt, Eduard Brunner, Tünde Kurucz, Imre Rohmann and Cordelia Höfer-Teutsch. He participated in master classes with László Mezö, Trols Svane, Florian Donderer, Eberhard Feltz and Gustav Rivinius.

Sebestyén Ludmány performs throughout Europe both as a soloist and as a chamber musician. He was a member of the baroque ensemble “Musica Parlante”. He currently performs regularly with the Camerata Salzburg and is a member of the Haydn Philharmonic Orchestra and the œnm . œsterreichisches ensemble fuer neue musik.
