Žarko Perišić

Žarko Perišić graduated in 1990 from the University of Zagreb in the class of Marijan Kobetić, where he won several prizes, and from the Mozarteum University in Salzburg with Milan Turković and Richard Galler.

As an orchestra member and soloist, he has appeared with leading orchestras in Israel, such as the Israel Radio Orchestra, Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, Tel Aviv Symphony Orchestra or the Israel Chamber Orchestra. He has also appeared as a soloist with the Salzburg Chamber Orchestra and played with the Camerata Salzburg, the Gustav Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the Budapest Festival Orchestra, the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, the Klangforum Wien and the Ensemble Musikfabrik. He founded the Sinergija 5 quintet and became a member and soloist of the Arts Council of the Vojvodina Symphonists in Novi Sad.
Since 2005 he has been principal bassoonist of the Croatian Radio Symphony Orchestra.

Žarko Perišić is assistant professor for bassoon, chamber music and orchestral playing at the Novi Sad Academy and since 2004 full professor at the University of Zagreb.
