Jakob Sigl studied sound engineering at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and jazz percussion at the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz. As a freelance musician, he has worked as a recording manager, sound engineer and producer on a variety of music productions in the fields of classical, jazz, pop, rock, world music and new music. Above all, however, as a sound director in the concert business, his focus is on the realisation of works of contemporary music. He worked as a technical director at the Vienna Theater am Spittelberg and currently in the event management department of the University of Applied Arts Vienna. For the Salzburg Summer Festival he has been working as a sound engineer for many years. Jakob Sigl is an active drummer, apart from some projects with the œnm, for example with the ArtRock band “Blank Manuskript” or the “Niko Leopold Quartet”.
