Michael Krenn

Michael Krenn (born 1986) has been Univ. Prof. for Saxophone at the Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien (MUK) since 2018 and Professor at the Tiroler Landeskonservatorium since 2016. He completed his studies at the MDW with Oto Vrhovnik and at the KWPU with Lars Mlekusch with distinction.

He is a laureate of numerous international music competitions and a scholarship holder of the BMEIA and BKA. Krenn is a founding member of the award-winning Mobilis saxophone quartet and has been a member of the œnm since 2013.

Concert activities as a soloist, chamber or orchestral musician have taken him to various European countries as well as to Chile, India, Thailand, Japan, China, Russia and the USA. His five CD releases (published by Gramola Vienna and Classitone) reflect his passion for a wide variety of musical styles.

Michael Krenn is a Henri Selmer Paris Artist and D’Addario Woodwind Artist.
